7 Sensational Reasons to Book a Travel Adventure Tour

A travel adventure tour offers the opportunity to visit exotic places and experience exciting pursuits under the guidance of persons familiar with the place and knowledgeable about the activities. You still experience adventure but without the angst of wondering if you are on the right path or doing something wrong. Plus you can save a lot of money, time, and stress.

After recently writing an article about great travel experiences and receiving many wonderful comments, I definitely have adventure travel on my mind. Last year I explored new places like Iceland and Hungary, and tried new adventures including skydiving and soaring. Those experiences make me want to visit more new places and crave different adventure travel experiences. How about you?

Here are some reasons you should research and consider a travel adventure tour for your next trip along with a few adventure tours to consider.

7 Sensational Reasons to Book a Travel Adventure Tour

See New Places. Iceland is on everyone’s dream travel list. You can soak in the famous Blue Lagoon, walk on glaciers, be wowed by the original “geysir,” experience powerful waterfalls, walk on black sand beaches, and so much more. The Vantage Adventures Iceland Adventure 2018 travel adventure tour is a magnificent 11 day deluxe journey around the island of Fire and Ice. There is no place on Earth like Iceland.

Explore New Cultures. Speaking of hot destinations, Cuba is also on everyone’s must visit travel list. Vantage Adventures Cuba: People and Culture provides an unforgettable 12 days to explore the largest Caribbean island. This travel adventure tour immerses the group into cultural experiences like performances (musical, theater, and dance), artist studio visits, and meeting cowboys on Cuban ranches.

Push Your Boundaries. On a travel adventure tour, you will expand your horizons. In a thriving and supportive adventure environment, it is natural for you to want to experience new thrills by trying unfamiliar activities. Perhaps on your next travel adventure tour you will skydive, zip line, bungee jump, zorb, whitewater kayak, or more.

Make Your Heart Race. Few places on Earth are as raw and wild as the African bush. Your heart will race when you see the Big Five in their natural element. The amazing Vantage Adventures Best of Africa travel adventure tour explores southern Africa over 15 remarkable days. Your tour leaders will allow your heart to settle between walking safari excursions and night game explorations.

Sample New Foods. You will inevitably be exposed to new foods on an adventure tour in a new or exotic land. Did you know that eating new foods can help you lose weight? This is because the brain is excited by new tastes and signals the stomach it is satisfied (or the other way around). So, the new food you eat on an adventure tour can help you maintain your resolution of becoming a healthier you.

Make New Friends. Other travel adventure tour members often become lifelong friends who you will travel with in the future. It makes sense because you all have an authentic and natural inclination for adventure and together share epic experiences. For solo travelers, Vantage Adventures offers 6 to 8 single occupancy cabins on every ship with no single supplement fee if you book early enough. Save Money, Time, and Stress. Professionals can save you money, time, and stress compared with researching and booking all of the travel adventure tours components yourself. Obviously you save the time of endless research when you allow someone else to do the work. Aggravation dissipates as you are no longer responsible for the trip planning. Enjoy, explore, experience.

Thanks for all the suggestions, Charles! It’s great timing as well – Iceland has been on my bucket list for quite a while, and I’m hoping to visit either at the end of this year or sometime in early 2018. I’ll have a look at the tour, for sure.

Although I also do my own travel planning, but you are right, some adventure tours offer awesome experience that few can get from outside.

Thank you for the note, Chloe. Travel happy!

These are all great reasons. We usually plan our own trip but letting someone else do all the planning sounds like something we’d be okay with! Less stress.

      Definitely less aggravation. Travel Happy!

Travel combined with adventure make for a deadly combination! I agree it is indeed very prudent to explore adventure options while traveling with the help of professionals. For one they know the lay of the land and also you are free from the hassles of coordinating things and can enjoy the travel and adventure freely.

I agree tours do take away a lot of stress of planning and executing. My only worry is they over charge. Guess the money spent on them is worth after all it saves lot of mental energy which is immeasurable. 🙂 Definitely will try one in Africa.

Not all tours charge more than do-it-yourself trips. Trick is to find the right ones!

Totally agree on all points! Group adventure tours are a great way to experience new destinations and activities without the stress of researching and planning you own trip and because you are sharing the trip cost with the rest of the group, they are a great value as well.

Yup, best way to maximize time and experience:) So FUN!!!!

Never considered an adventure travel before as I often travel solo, that is quite an adventure on its own. I wouldn’t going on a tour though as the reasons you mentioned is definitely worthy of booking a tour 🙂

I love the comment about pushing your boundaries and making your heart race. So often in life we play it safe and so travelling allows you to do something different and get out of your comfort zone.

    • McCool Travel February 13, 2017 at 7:30 pm #

Thank you, Tamason. Travel happy and make your heart race!

Love your post, Charles. It echoes all of the reasons I love to travel so much, and truly feel that I NEED to travel in order to continue growing as a person.

Thank you, Doreen, for the lovely note. Travel Happy!

I’ve fallen in love with the idea of tours to complement individual travel…they really stretch the travel experience!

    • McCool Travel January 28, 2017 at 2:39 pm #

Excellent viewpoint and analysis. Thank you.

  12. The GypsyNesters January 23, 2017 at 6:53 pm #

We have done several tours that I guess would qualify as adventure. Agree with all of your points.

  13. Donna Janke January 23, 2017 at 5:01 pm #

I usually associate the term adventure travel with extreme activities I’m not likely to do. However, the adventures you mentioned here hold a lot of appeal – Iceland, Cuba, an African safari. And I can appreciate the value of booking a tour.

    • McCool Travel January 24, 2017 at 3:33 pm #

Thank you, Donna. I know what you mean. Many are more like mild adventure.
