Attached to River Spirit Casino Resort (which opened in 2009), the Margaritaville Casino and Restaurant Tulsa addition opened in 2016—which effectively doubled the gaming space and added a hotel and much more. The two separate but adjoining casinos appeal to diverse audiences; Margaritaville even has a non-smoking casino section.
Margaritaville Tulsa is regionally popular because it is different from anything else in Oklahoma. A single day pool pass costs $20 per person but can go up to $40 on peak weekends. Margaritaville Tulsa’s draw is beyond regional though because within the first six months overnight guests visited from every US state and several countries.

The 27 story hotel’s 483 rooms all have a vibrant Margaritaville color scheme. I stayed in a corner Signature Suite, featuring a king bed, a separate living room, and more than twice the space of standard rooms (which have queen beds and smaller bathrooms). The oversized Margaritaville Tulsa Signature Suite bathroom includes a tub overlooking the Arkansas River, a large shower with brightly colored tile, elegant wooden floor, and luxury amenities and towels. In-room coffee is from Sacred Grounds, an organic and fair trade product.

Dining options at Margaritaville Tulsa include Margaritaville Restaurant (with a volcano show and oversized blender), 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar, Fireside Grill, Visions (buffet), Johnny Rockets, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Landshark Pool Bar, and Scoreboard Sports Bar.

Entertainment at Margaritaville Casino and Restaurant Tulsa
The 35,000 square feet of conference space accommodates events of pretty much any size. Big name acts perform in the theater; I saw opening night for Paula Abdul in October 2018. River Spirit and Margaritaville Tulsa now hosts the Ms. Oklahoma pageant.

In the Margaritaville Tulsa lobby, the retail shop sells Jimmy Buffett and Margaritaville themed merchandise, food, snacks, sundries, and souvenirs. The coffee shop in the lobby is a great stop for a breakfast beverage and muffin.
