5 Minutes With Katie Quinn of QKatie

For McCool Travel’s 158th travel interview, I am pleased to introduce you to Katie Quinn of QKatie. Katie expresses her love of food from around the world on her popular YouTube channel. I learned about Katie in true internet surfing style, as an automated suggestion when leaving a message on an online friend’s (Rachel Rudwall) wall. Once I saw her slogan, I was hooked!
UPDATE (4 December 2017). Katie told me that she and Rachel Rudwall were roommates in college. WHAT? Now that must have been an amazing room.
Katie Quinn‘s bio: “Katie Quinn is a video journalist, host, and cookbook author. She thinks there is a story to be told everywhere and she believes that food connects people. Every week she posts food & travel videos to her YouTube Channel (which has over 3 million views). Her slogan is #keepitquirky because she thinks life is more enjoyable if you don’t take yourself too seriously. You may have caught her on NBC’s Today Show, as a contestant on the Food Network’s Chopped, or as a judge on Beat Bobby Flay. She attended Le Cordon Bleu culinary school in Paris and is the author of the Avocados cookbook, published by Short Stack Editions. Before starting the QKatie brand, she worked for NBC, Serious Eats, and NowThis News. After a decade in NYC, she’s currently based in London, England.”
