8 Great Park Hyatt St Kitts Travel Tips

Park Hyatt St Kitts opened in November 2017 and I visited the magnificent resort in the Caribbean West Indies less than one month after it opened. You know, as a research project for you.
In this McCool Travel Article, learn what to pack, what not to pack, what to expect, secret places to visit, and more, all at the spectacular new Park Hyatt St Kitts.

8 Great Things to Know About Park Hyatt St Kitts in Christophe Harbor

1. US Power Plugs

Park Hyatt St Kitts rooms have USA style power outlets so leave your power converters at home. USB plugs are located on both sides of beds and in other locations in the room. Your devices require continual juicing because of the amazing photos you will share of your room and the property.

2. Leave Liquids at Home

Also save packing room in your bags by leaving suntan lotion and bug spray at home. Every Park Hyatt St Kitts room comes with a can of Off. Honestly, I did not use it during my 6 night stay but I thought it was a nice amenity. Free suntan lotion is available at the pool bar and at a table in the adult pool area.

3. Hydrate

There are several reasons why you should drink plenty of water during your Park Hyatt St Kitts visit. The sun is likely more potent than where you are coming from, especially if you visit during the winter from Northeast USA. Hydrating offsets some of that St. Kitts rum from your Rum Punch drinks. Luckily, water stations are located at the pools and in the fitness center. Tap water is OK to drink, according to several people I asked and from my own research. Please skip using plastic and glass bottles, as a global measure.

4. Park Hyatt St Kitts Restaurants

Park Hyatt St Kitts has three dining options. The General Manager, Florentius, told me that people staying in pool suites can create their own dining experiences, essentially making a fourth restaurant option.

Breakfast in The Great House is amazing. Group favorites included Twice Cooked Egg, yogurt parfait, steel-cut oatmeal, and fresh squeezed watermelon juice.

Seafood at The Fisherman’s Village cannot be fresher, as evidenced by the lobster crate sitting in the water off the dock.

5. Activities at Park Hyatt St Kitts

For a small island, St. Kitts has a lot of fun stuff to do. Onsite activities at Park Hyatt St Kitts include walking the lovely Banana Bay beach, visiting the fitness center, relaxing at Mirval spa, and renting small non-powered water equipment. Offsite activities include boating adventures, the Mad Max Dune Buggy (super cool), island exploring, and trips to Nevis. I rode a Jet Ski (first time, yes!) at nearby St. Kitts Water Sports next to Reggae Beach Bar & Grill.

6. Day Trip to Nevis

Every Park Hyatt St Kitts room looks across the water at the sister island of Nevis. During your week long stay (hopefully at least a week, right?), make sure you take at least one day trip to Nevis. A convenient boat runs from the Fisherman’s Village dock straight across to the tiny Nevis port and the Four Seasons Nevis dock. Another option is to reserve a boat from the Marina at Christopher Harbour. The concierge and information desk will assist with boat transport and Nevis activities.

7. Crowds? No crowds

Florentius told me that Park Hyatt St Kitts guests will never feel crowded because the property is large enough for two hotels and 1/3 of the rooms have their own pool. WHAT? Own pools? Wow! In fact, during my visit, I never saw more than 5 guests TOTAL in all the public pool areas. Relax. Ahhh.

8. Epic St Kitts Sunrises

Every Park Hyatt St Kitts room has a view of Nevis. During your stay, you will surely take many epic sunrise photos around the property—your foreground being the infinity pool, the stone arches, the beach. You can choose, however, to roll out of bed, put on a plush terry robe, and experience the sunrise from your balcony or patio.
