On road trips, I seek out at least one bakery for morning breakfast treats.
I always try to find locally owned, independent bakeries rather than corporate chains.
On my recent South Florida road trip, in addition to the baked goods I found here and here, I visited a great European-style bakery in Hallandale Beach, Florida.
Kiss’s European Bakery offers primarily Hungarian baked goods. That suited me fine, as my grandmother’s family was from Hungary.
That blueberry pastry was amazing. The other items were apricot.
