8 Great Ways to Have Fun at Beau Rivage Biloxi

My favorite 8 Great Ways to Have Fun at Beau Rivage Biloxi include enjoying excellent food, exciting shows, relaxation time, and other memorable activities.

Beau Rivage Biloxi is one of my favorite Mississippi Coast HotelsĀ and recommendedĀ Things to Do in Biloxi. The property’s officialĀ name is Beau Rivage Resort & Casino but most Coastal Mississippi residents and guests call it Beau Rivage or, affectionately, The Beau.

Mississippi’s tallest buildingā€”yes, with 32 floors Beau Rivage is the tallest building in Mississippiā€”and the largest hotel along the US Gulf Coast recently completed a $100 million property refresh and enhancement project.

Now is the best time to experience the improved fabulous AAA four diamond Beau Rivage Biloxi.

Congratulations to Beau Rivage on its 25th anniversary on March 19. 2024.

Thank you to Beau Rivage Resort & Casino for hosting McCool Travel.

Getting to Beau Rivage Resort & Casino

Beau Rivage Resort is located in Biloxi, Mississippi, only 20 minutes from Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport (airport code GPT) and one hour from New Orleans and Mobile Alabama. Parking is free in the Beau Rivage garage, there is an onsite Avis location, and the Beau Rivage concierge staff can assist with transportation requests.

Beau Rivage Biloxi is located at the east end of one of my favorite US coastal scenic drives.

driving to Beau Rivage Biloxi is a treat!

Here are my favorite 8 Great Ways to Have Fun at Beau Rivage Biloxi. Note that we did not even include the casino, which is probably the main source of fun for most guests.

1. Beau Rivage Biloxi Hotel Rooms

All 1,645 Beau Rivage Biloxi rooms were recently updated (as of October 2022) so you will be enjoying a refreshed stay no matter which room you have. And all 95 suites were remodeled prior to that. The $100 million project is the first major property upgrade since the update right after Hurricane Katrina.

Rooms, hallways, and common spaces feature an elegant coastal vibe theme. While there, note how the new decor and fixture colors resemble beach water and sand.

The upgrade project is not just visually appealing. New technology enhances your stay, includingĀ robust app use (checkin, thermostat control, etc.), digital key, and better wifi.

Depending on which floor your room is on and direction you face, enjoy a wonderful view of those magnificent Mississippi Gulf Coast sunsets or sunrises. Also see below for two other places for excellent sunset views.

2. Beau Rivage Theatre

Between your fun gaming and dining activities, enjoy a show in the Beau Rivage Theatre. TheĀ 1,595 seat Beau Rivage Theatre might be hosting a legendary performer (such as Carlos Santana or Blue Man Group) or a comedian, dance performance, rising local talent, or other production show.

Smoking, recording, and outside food/drink are not permitted inside the theatre. Upcoming performers include 38 Special, Gladys Knight, Johnny Mathis, and Dancing With the Stars. Check the schedule for current and upcoming shows.

3. Beau Rivage Biloxi Pool

Located next to the fitness center, the pool at Beau Rivage is magnificent. Make sure you visit the Beau Rivage pool area when the weather is nice.

The pool deck has plenty of spaces to gather with friends or find a romantic spot to sequester with your honey. Enjoy the refreshing pool and the hot tub or just bask in the refreshing Coastal Mississippi sun.

McCool Travel tip: Past the pool on the second deck is a wonderful spot to catch a spectacular US Gulf Coast sunset.

4. Beau Rivage Spa

Before, after, or during all that fun gaming and eating, and treat yourself to a relaxing massage or salon treatment at the Beau Rivage Spa.

The Beau Rivage Spa was named #6 on Spas of America top 100 list for 2021ā€”up from #22 in 2020. The 20,000-square-foot spa and salon facility includes 14 massage rooms, six stylist stations, five facial treatment rooms, modern fitness center, and separate male and female whirlpool, steam, sauna, bathroom, and relaxation areas.

I briefly feel asleep during my latest deep tissue massage which is a testament to the amazing massage therapist and surely not a reflection of me being up late the prior evening. Play hard, relax hard!

5. Jia

Japanese for beautiful, Jia, is Beau Rivage’s award-winning pan-Asian restaurant, featuring a noodle bar, sushi bar, and much more.

The 18-seat noodle bar at Jia features Vietnamese noodle dishes (try the Bun Tom Nuong) and Pho soups, all prepared and customized to the guest’s preferences. At the Jia sushi bar order the freshest and tastiest sashimi, nigiri, sushi, and specialty rolls (try the Mississippi Roll and the Atom Bomb).

Whether you dine at the noodle bar, sushi bar, or an elegant Jia table, enjoy sake or a specialty Asian-inspired cocktail. Amazing entrees to consider include a Ginger Lobster, Mongolian Ribeye, and Dynamite Halibut.

I really cannot wait to return to Jia!

6. Chef Table at Stalla

Stalla at Beau Rivage Biloxi features an open kitchen and offers excellent traditional Northern Italian cuisine with many menu items having a Coastal Mississippi twist.

Stalla received Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence each of the last seven years and was named Best Italian Restaurant by Casino Player.

McCool Travel tip: Ask for or reserve seats at the counter of the open kitchen and interact with the chef (he and the Beau Rivage Biloxi executive chef have been there since the 1999 opening).

I watched what was being prepared and served while enjoying my Italian red wine and bread basket with three sauces (olive oil, garlic hummus, roasted bell pepper with sun dried tomato puree).

Mark Agent, Stalla’s Executive Chef, was indeed very busy but had some free moments to chat with me and the other guests sitting nearby. Based on his recommendations, I ordered the mussels appetizer followed by the linguine with clams entree (and added Gulf shrimp to it).

Both Stalla dishes were superb and I cannot wait to order them again on my next visit to Beau Rivage Biloxi.

Other Beau Rivage Restaurants include Salt & Ivy (coastal and Southern cuisine), BR Prime (elegant steakhouse), Atrium Cafe (my standard order is salad topping with fresh Gulf fish), BetMGM Book Bar & Grill (see below), and the Buffet at Beau Rivage.

Also try grab and go food and drinks at casual Beau Rivage spots The Roasted Bean (coffee, tea, and pastries), The Daiquiri Shop (frozen drinks and tacos), and Snacks (salads, soups, and sandwiches). Appetizers and shareable plates are offered at Black Clover Lounge and TopSwing Golf Suite.

McCool Travel tip: MGM Rewards members receive priority when making reservations at Beau Rivage Biloxi restaurants.

7. BetMGM Book Bar & Grill

Beau Rivage Biloxi has 85,000 square feet of gaming space and my favorite spot is the smoke-free BetMGM Book Bar & Grill. Here, in Mississippi’s first sports book area, be awed by over 100 HD TVs and watch simultaneous events from very comfortable seats.

And the food options are enticing. Try the blackened grouper sandwich, shrimp po’ boy, seafood gumbo, or a tasty burger. Or order an appetizer and adult milkshake while popping in to check on game scores.

8. TopGolf Swing Suite

Book an hour (or several) to play games and virtual sports on the TopGolf Swing Suite giant screens. Perfect your golf drive in the simulator bay (let ‘er rip) or just enjoy some banter, snacks and drinks, and friendly competition. All sports equipment is included so leave your golf shoes and clubs in the car.

Bring a few friends (up to eight persons in the suite), order enticing small plates (flatbreads, wings, sliders) and drinks, and have a memorable and fun experience.

Other Fun Things to Do at Beau Rivage Biloxi

  • Black Clover Lounge. A smoke-free lounge with live entertainment (solo and duo acts) seven nights a week and offering drinks and appetizers. Check out Whiskey and Wine Wednesdays and Troubadour Thursdays. EIGHT75 is a lively Beau Rivage night spot, popular for dancing.
  • Beau Rivage shopping. Visit the 11 boutique shops of Beau Rivage Biloxi, selling everything from designer clothes and jewelry to basic sundries and spa items. I bought a bath bomb to relax in my room tub one night.
  • Fitness Center. The massive and modern Beau Rivage fitness center is open 24 hours a day. Entrance is on the second floor, next to the spa. McCoolĀ Travel tip: we like to refill our water bottles in the fitness center.Ā Save the turtles! Ā It is a great way to LOVE the US Gulf Coast.
  • Golf Course. Fallen Oak is a Tom Fazio-designed championship golf course (18 holes, par 72) for the exclusive use of Beau Rivage guests.
  • MGM Ball park. The home of the Biloxi Shuckers (AA minor league), MGM Park, is right across the street from the Beau Rivage. And just a little further past the park are amazing places like Ground Zero Blues Club Biloxi and Fly Llama Brewing (see Coastal Mississippi Craft Breweries).
  • MGMAir charter flight. MGM offers a charter flight, stay, and play package from 75 cities to Beau Rivage Biloxi. I will check out this opportunity in the future.
  • Another great sunset view, as shown in the photo below, is from the Beau Rivage parking garage (second floor). Believe it or not! No, really, believe it.
