From the hundreds of things to do on US Gulf Coast in June 2026 I narrowed my suggestions down to the following ten fun festivals and events. Cool, happy, and fun events that you expect to find on the Gulf Coast.
June on the Gulf Coast starts with Pride Week, celebrates Father’s Day, official start of summer, Juneteenth, and ends with early celebrations of Independence Day weekend. Kick off the summer with a scenic coastal drive, music or food festival, or fair.

Cajun Heartland State Fair, Lafayette LA, May 22 – June 1, 2026
Head to the CajunDome in Lafayette Louisiana and join over 50,000 new friends for eleven days and nights of rides, fun, games, and plenty of crawfish and boudin.

St Pete Pride Month, May 21 – June 27, 2026
In 2003, Tampa shut down its pride parade so St. Pete took over and now the sister city hosts Florida’s largest Pride celebration. So much so that they celebrate PRIDE month instead of just a weekend. Some highlights of St Pete Pride 2026 include the Kick-Off Street Fair on May 29, Family Day on June 7, and Pride Weekend on June 26 and the PRIDE Parade on June 27.

Key West Pride, Key West FL, June 3-7, 2026
Of course, Key West Pride is a bucket list event for many. The highlight might be the Key West Pride Parade on June 7.

Gulf Coast Jam, Panama City Beach FL, May 28 – 31, 2026
*The Gulf Coast Jam came early this year and was held over the last weekend of May.
Celebrate the 14th anniversary of the Gulf Coast Jam in PCB featuring performances by Lainey Wilson, Blake Shelton, Sam Hunt, Jordan Davis, Tyler Childers, and 19 other musical acts.

Gheens Bon Mange’ Festival, June 5 -7, 2026
The annual Gheens Bon Mange’ Festival will be held at Vacherie-Gheens Community Center. Live bands, auctions, and great Cajun dishes. Also arts & craft show, a corn hole tournament, and queen’s pageant. But the Cajun music and food are the main reasons you should attend.

Sarasota Music Festival, June 1 – 13, 2026
One of USA’s top classical music events is the three-week long Sarasota Music Festival every June. 2026 marks the 62nd Sarasota Music Festival.
Over 500 elite musicians from around the world audition for the five dozen slots during the Sarasota Music Festival. At the Sarasota Music Festival they play along side 40 master musicians.

White Linen Night Artfest, League City TX, June 13, 2026
Check out more than 100 artists in historic downtown League City. White Linen Night Artfest further celebrates the arts with artists at work, live entertainment, local food and beverages, and historic properties. Everyone else will be wearing white clothing (to beat the heat) so you better, too.

Juneteenth Festival, Galveston TX, June 13, 2026
Galveston is the birthplace of Juneteenth! Attend the Juneteenth Festival at Menard Park on the Seawall, on the historical grounds of McGuire Dent Recreational Center. The festival features entrepreneur showcases, the Black Artist Artwalk Exhibition, a Youth Basketball Tournament, live entertainment, food vendors, and much more.

Father’s Day, June 21, 2026, all along the US Gulf Coast
Celebrate fathers, dads, stepdads, uncles, sons, grandfathers, single moms, and other paternal figures this Father’s Day. Some ideas include a Gulf Coast kayak paddle, visit to one of my favorite Places to Enjoy Gulf Seafood, or Best Grouper Sandwiches in Florida Gulf Coast, and a stop on the Gulf Coast Dessert Trail.
Mango Fest, Key West FL, June 27, 2026
The annual Mango Fest Key West helps support PAL (Police Activity League) and juvenile crime prevention through the Key West Police Department. Bayview Park transforms into Mango Village, with vendors, a photo contest, and more. Sunday’s Everything Mango Brunch is a highlight, featuring mango mimosas and margaritas, mango bourbon French toast, lobster Benedict with mango sauce, and more exquisite mango temptations.

Panhandle Watermelon Festival, Chipley FL, June 26 – 27, 2026
Head 725 miles northwest to the other end of the Sunshine State for another sweet festival. Since 1969, the Panhandle Watermelon Festival celebrates farmers and field workers. Events include a parade, car show, pancake breakfast, a watermelon auction, and much more.
