These travel tips for the Celebrity Xpedition ship will add extra fun and comfort to your Celebrity Cruises Galapagos expedition. Our tips for seeing Galapagos with Celebrity Cruises cover the onboard experience, not the excursions or visiting animals in the Galapagos National Park.

Clothing Tips for Celebrity Cruises in Galapagos
— We debated whether to do some laundry, hand wash some items, buy new clothes, or just wear those dirty clothes multiple times. At about the midway point of our cruise, Celebrity Xpedition cabins on our floor received a special offer of the day for $30 to do a bag of laundry. We did it!
— Gift shop clothes, especially the hat, are functional, useful, and reasonably priced, if you forget something or want souvenirs. A couple of passengers bought entire outfits from the shop. So, you can really pack light.
Dining Tips for Celebrity Cruises in Galapagos
— Celebrity Cruises provides PABA free water bottles and filtered water filling stations. Love this focus on reducing plastic waste. Well done, Celebrity Cruises!
— For lunch, get buffet food from the Darwin restaurant on the third floor and go eat outside. Believe me, you will not be alone for very long on a nice day. More passengers will soon join you.

— Be sure to sign up for a night of Dining Under the Stars, when the Darwin Deck is dressed for table-service meals. Even if there are no stars, it’s a lovely setting for a special evening meal.

— For breakfast, order an omelette first thing and then peruse the buffet options. A server will deliver the omelette to your table which saves you a little time. People generally rush after breakfast, to prepare for the morning activity, so any time saved is valuable.
— Unlimited drinks. From the drink of the day to champagne toasts and wines with meals, free flowing drinks will have you feeling like a celebrity on Celebrity Cruises. My favorite drinks were the mojitos and black Sambuca. In fact, on the last night the bartender told me that they ran out of black Sambuca. Dang it, I should not have introduced other people to it.

Miscellaneous Tips for Celebrity Cruises in Galapagos
— Tips are paid for. In fact, everything is covered in the Celebrity Cruises Galapagos price. It is wonderful not to be nickeled and dimed for extras.
— Make sure you see the Southern Cross constellation. Ask a naturalist or Celebrity Xpedition crew member for assistance. Or attend a star gazing session.
— If you crave a solid internet connection, bring your own personal wi-fi device because internet service on the ship is sloooooowwww. Better yet, immerse in the amazing Galapagos scenery, flora, and fauna, and enjoy a no-tech vacation for a week.
— Before and after our Celebrity Galapagos cruise, we stayed at the Hotel Sheraton Quito. Marriott Bonvoy members can earn points from their stays and can even leverage their premium status for better rooms and amenities.

Good note on the internet Charles. I heard solid connections on cruises are non-existent; would be a work free few days for me.
That is a great attitude to have. I was obsessed with hurrying back from activities to get some service before the crowd came back. I should have just gone tech free for a few days.
